It'd be interesting to read the license included with it. Just because the files are available and it's possible doesn't necessarily mean it'd be strictly legal to use it as a universal install. To compare, Microsoft provides locked down and time-limited downloads of Virtual PC images of XP and Vista (and maybe 7 by now) with various versions of IE for browser testing. But, it wouldn't be legal to extract the Windows files from there, fiddle them, and use it as a normal copy of Windows. They're specifically licensed for limited VM use for browser testing. Likewise this OS 9 might be licensed strictly for use as a netboot client and not as a main install. Shame the license isn't visible without downloading it; I don't have access to my Macs at work. Whether Apple would really care or go to the trouble of pulling it is another question; I know they did do a big crackdown on sites distributing other old and very old versions of System Software some years ago.
